Escalating Energy Costs
If you are in business and your annual electricity cost exceeds $25,000 there may be material savings to be gained through an audit and monitoring of your power consumption.
Electricity prices are constantly in the media and, if you believe the suppliers, their margins are tight hence there is minimal opportunity to reduce the cost via shopping for better prices. Savings via reduced consumption are however generally available. The suppliers have little incentive to help you consume less hence a market has developed for services which assist you to reduce your power consumption, these typically involving an audit and report by an electrical engineer, however there is a better way. "Electricity as a service" is an alternative where real time cloud based monitoring occurs with information available to you online. These suppliers generally provide targeted reporting and alerts to help address issues as they arise, and provide advice on other ways to reduce consumption.
Some of the savings obtained typically arise from identifying faulty machinery, energy inefficient equipment, introduction of systems and scheduling to better manage lighting, ventilation and air conditioning and many more.
If you would like an introduction to such an energy supplier please contact our office.
Currently there is strong merit for clients with finance to review their loans, especially if they have been with the same lender for more than three years. We have noticed that lenders don't necessarily pass on interest rate cuts in full to existing clients. Therefore, if you look around you could save around 0.5%. Fixed rates are also very low at present with 1 year interest rates starting at 4.44% based on a 50/50 fixed variable.

MS Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride
Two of our partners James Attard and Adam Phillips have entered the 2014 MS Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride and have committed to support people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It is an 85 kilometre ride starting at St Peters and ending at Fairy Meadow on 2 November 2014.
MS is a disease of the central nervous system affecting more young adult Australians than any other neurological condition and both James and Adam have clients and friends who have MS.
Did you know?
- The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years
- 3 times more women than men are affected by MS
- An estimated 23,000 people in Australia have MS
- There is no known cause or cure
Please take a moment to view their fundraising web page and help support their fundraising. It's quick and easy.
